Greek anarchists of the Rouvikonas radical group have claimed responsibility for storming and damaging the Athens headquarters of the Swiss pharmaceutical multinational Novartis in the early hours of Sunday.
The assailants used a sledgehammer to break into the complex and threw red paint at the building located at the Athenian suburb of Metamorfosis.
No arrests were made.
Novartis is implicated in an on-going investigation in Greece regarding kick-backs to senior politicians.
Greek MPs on Thursday overwhelmingly supported a probe into claims that a dozen senior politicians –including two former prime ministers – received bribes from or helped promote Novartis during their term of office.
