A satirical version of Michael Jackson’s mega-hit Beat It released to highlight the beauty of the island of Crete has taken Greek social media by storm.
Titled Just Beers, the video is an ode to the Cretan summer, from the exotic beaches, the beautiful countryside, the luxurious villas, to the local food, drinks, festivals and the traditional way of life of the island’s residents.
Featuring radio producer Giorgos Balothiaris and a host of real-life Cretans, the video incudes lines such as “Just beers under the plane tree, if it gets really hot we also drink a bit of raki.”
