Riding Down Memory Lane to 1950s Piraeus (photos)

The citizens of Piraeus have had the opportunity to take a ride on antique buses and trolley buses.

The vehicles, which once upon a time were roaming the streets of Greece’s largest port connecting the city with nearby Athens, opened their doors again to the public.

Two trolley buses and one blue bus did the Kastella-Pasalimani line.

At Pasalimani dozens of curious onlookers gathered to take a glimpse of the vehicles from a bygone era.

Many went inside to peer at the large steering wheels, the iron seats and the different types of windows and handles.

Traveling around Piraeus 50’s and 60’s style.
