A huge Greek flag hoisted by a crane appeared at the ‘Macedonia is Greece’ rally at Syntagma square in Athens.
Thousands of flag-bearing Greeks descended to the main square vowing not to compromise in the festering name row with neighboring FYROM.
Organisers said they expected around a million participants on Syntagma Square, with many travelling from across the country or even abroad.
