The US Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) in Athens will shut down operations on November 15, according to recent announcement released by the US Embassy.
The last day the office will accept applications or petitions and be open to the public is September 30. The US Embassy in Athens will assume responsibility for certain limited services previously provided by USCIS to individuals residing in Greece.
Beginning on Oct. 1, 2019, individuals who were previously assisted by the USCIS Athens Field Office, including those in Greece, Cyprus and a host of other countries, should follow new filing instructions described in detail on the USCIS website, here.
