Giannis Antetokounmpo became a magnet for tourists and locals alike during his visit to cosmopolitan Mykonos where he participated in a philanthropic dunk competition event on Saturday.
Crowds chanted “MVP, MVP” as the Greek Freak shot and dunked at a well-known beach club.
Part of the proceeds of the event went to Greek NGO “Elpida”, that provides care and support for children diagnosed with cancer. “Elpida” is a Greek word which means hope.
“Elpida gives support to all children, irrespective of their color and ethnicity. It does not matter whether you are black or white, whether you are Greek or migrant, whether you are insured or uninsured, ‘Elpida’ helps everyone,” Antetokounmpo said.
