Two carriages in a passenger train, on its usual inter-city service route between Thessaloniki and Athens, derailed on Tuesday near the Greek town of Larissa.
No injuries were reported among the passengers, who all disembarked safely.
Photos from local site larissa.net show disembarked passengers who are standing next to the derailed carriages.
TrainOSE, the operator of all passenger and freight trains in Greece, announced that stranded passengers will be boarding other trains to their destinations.
The organization also announced an investigation into the causes of the derailment.
