This year’s championship team PAOK will face 2018 champion AEK in the final of the Greek Cup, which is scheduled to take place on May 11 at the Olympic Stadium in Athens.
It will be the third consecutive time that the two football giants will meet in a final. In the previous two, PAOK emerged on top. The Thessaloniki club is one step away from doing the double, which would be the first ever Cup for the team in its long history.
On Thursday, PAOK earned a 0-0 draw away from home at Asteras Tripolis, confirming their place in the final with an aggregate 2-0 victory.
AEK easily brushed aside Lamia with 4-0 victory away from home, through Ezequiel Ponce, Marios Economou, Tasos Bakasetas and an own-goal by Vanderson Scarduelli. AEK also hit the woodwork three times, with Lamia doing so twice.
