A historic villa, turned luxury hotel, on the island of Chios has amazed locals and visitors alike with its extravagant Christmas decorations.
Thousands of lights, ornaments, a huge imposing tree, an “igloo of lights”, polar bears and snowmen are just some of the decorations that have turned the Argentikon Estate into a festive spectacle.
The Argentikon Estate is 32,000 square meters, located near the village of Thymiana and Kampos, the estate was built in the 16th century by the Argenti family who were Genoese aristocrats.
It is designated a Historic Monument and is a perfect example of medieval, Genoese architecture in the Levant.
