Many parts of central and northern Greece lie covered in snow this Friday, as a cold front has moved into the country from the north.
Epirus, Thessaly and Macedonia are the areas most affected by the snowfall, which according to meteorologists will continue over the weekend.
Heavy snowfall is expected in northern Greece, even at low altitudes, during the day on Friday, according to the Meteo weather service of the National Observatory of Athens.
Mountainous regions of the country are lying under a pristine white mantle of snow.
