A weather front called ‘Theseus’ moving east from Italy is expected to bring a new wave of cold and wet weather to Greece starting Friday.
According to meteorologists, temperatures will nosedive over the next few days and near gales of up to 50–61 kilometers per hour (32–38 mph) will affect many parts of Greece.
Heavy snow is forecast even in low-altitude areas of the north.
Downpours are forecast in Athens and Thessaloniki Friday and Saturday with temperatures falling to a few degrees above freezing.
